The 30 Paintings in 30 Day Challenge is over and I look forward to the next one. I really enjoyed joining the pool of creating artists all united for this challenge. Thank you Kelley for inviting me and thank you Leslie for this opportunity!

Everything has been under control until I tried to spray water over it. It was interesting to play the alchemist. I'll keep reading and experimenting...

Blue cat is Dexter.
There is discipline in the cat face none in the surrounding. I didn't do that on purpose. What happened.. I have no idea.

The Jacquard Company will replace all my products and send them to me tomorrow. Will receive them in... a week.

I am very excited with the idea to be back but… the 30P in 30D Challenge will be almost over.  I missed working with you guys, fellow artists...(sigh). It has been a very playful challenge and I loved the  idea of all of us working each day for a common challenge.
For that I am really grateful!

That it. I think I am going to sadly quit on the 30 Paintings in 30 Days. The effect of the gutta is going worth and worth everyday. The frustration is that I have no idea how to solve this problem. 

An intended project turns into apocalypse at the very beginning because the dye is not stopping where it should. 
I am so very sad to drop it because it was a very interesting challenge. It has been a pleasure being challenged with all the other passionate artists! Thank you.

This statue of a cat meditating has been bought to my by my dear husband and each time I look at it, it just cracks me up.

Challenges: Ignoring the not-intended-bleeding… Also representing spiritual elevation through colors.

Challenge: bleeding… bleeding and bleeding again. Several professional artists concluded in an old gutta. The only thing is that I bought it last week… So I emailed Jacquard today, the product brand… We'll see what they decide to do...

Challenges: Still struggling with the gutta that doesn't hold the paint and spread flat like crazy.
Also I experimented with alcohol instead of water.

Challenge: Find the right gutta that will keep its word… Experimented with a sponge, I am not sure it is an effect I like but I wanted to try it and…. I'll try it again with less strong colors… Oh well..

Challenges: Representing the interconnectedness. Trying to partially ignore the outlined shapes for the overall color effect.

The challenges :  How to represent the absence of time without mentioning it? By representing all the symbols of time in opposition?… and the challenge of colors.

30 Paintings in 30 Days

Since my garage is freezing cold, I won't be doing any metal work during the whole Winter. I am missing it already: the smell, the colors, the heat…. But thanks to Kelleys suggestion (http://kelleymacdonalddailypaint.blogspot.com), I will participate in the 30 Paintings In 30 Days Challenge with Leslie Saeta.

This is really going to be a challenge since I am new to silk painting and haven't painted in over 10 years… To spice it up a bit, the other challenge will be to metaphorically represent key concepts and thoughts in Buddhism. It will be the opportunity to have these nectar-like readings linger longer in my mind and my soul. It is SO exciting to get out of one's comfort zone and so playful.
